Craft group at Rue de la Course this morning?

Just left Rue de la Course on Carrollton and there was a group of ladies doing some crafting—it looked like beadwork on canvas. Anyone know anything about this group or how to join?

I am literally obsessed with the pickled sliced peppers that Cleo’s puts on their steaks. Anyone know the recipe for them so I can make them at home? 🐷🐷🐷

ISO moving help

I am tearing my hair out with this move. Also, be advised—do NOT use Keep It Moving company for a move. They suck!!! They are now holding hundreds of money that I gave them in a deposit and not a thing has been moved. I just need two men and a truck for a move from the Westbank to Uptown. We are not moving fine crystal, so I don’t need any bells and whistles.

Halp! Please message me directly.

Access to Buy Nothing Carrollton FB Group?

Hi. We are doing some small home projects this summer and I would like to grab some things from the Buy Nothing Uptown/Carrollton Facebook group. The group is private and I’ve put in multiple requests to get accepted but have gotten zero response.

Anybody knows the people who run it?

Restaurants doing lunch for restaurant week?

Hi, y'all. I have been on the New Orleans restaurant week website and there is no way to filter out to see what restaurants are serving lunch specials, as opposed to just dinner.

I don't have the time or energy to slog through all of these restaurants one by one. Anybody have any recommendations for places doing lunch for restaurant week?

Where to watch the Knicks playoffs games?

My husband is freaking out about how the Knicks are doing in the playoffs and wants to watch the game at a bar tomorrow. Any suggestions? I don’t want to support anything corporate and soul-less (I.e.: Manning’s, Walk Ons)

Thanks yall!

We need a mental health court in New Orleans--agree?

Hi, friends. I am a New Orleans native and a former New York City prosecutor. In Brooklyn, we had mental health courts as a part of the criminal justice system, and it was hugely impactful as it helped people who, instead of incarceration, really needed various forms of treatment. I have been back in New Orleans for a few years now, and was shocked to learn that we don't have a mental health court here for criminal defendants.

Andre Gaudin is one of the candidates for judge (the election is tomorrow), and is hellbent on creating a mental health court, which the City desperately needs, in my opinion. I have been educating myself on the candidates, so just wanted to pass this along. VOTE!

TL;DR: Paid $15K for GSA Schedule help from a company called CAP 50 and got years of errors, rejections, and no results—small businesses should steer clear.

I’m a small business owner who paid a company (https://cap50.com/) $15,000 to help secure a GSA Schedule (a federal government certification for the federal government to more easily locate your company), and more than three years later, I still don’t have my GSA Schedule. Every submission CAP 50 prepared was riddled with basic errors—typically 5–10 per application—which led to repeated rejections. They claimed to be experts but were clearly unfamiliar with the submission process. I do not have my GSA Schedule still. My company credit card was maxed out by this large payment towards what I felt was a good investment to grow my business.

Stay away! I sincerely do not want anyone else to go through this. Anyone have a suggestion for an actually competent company that provides these services?
