I rarely see adult characters in romance and I’m excited for some new recommendations. Please don’t give me anything that has an anime adaptation because I feel like I’ve watched all of the romance anime with adults. I want something that’s really good, I’m fine with manga, manhua, mangwa, etc.

I also want something with a good strong ending where the characters stay together, no last minute breakups or anything.

I’m usually disappointed in romance endings, they either feel too rushed or not enough happened. Preferably something that goes past just them getting together but also doesn’t start with them already together ?

I want something good with an extremly satisfying ending. I prefer there to be a bit of drama in the series too but if not that’s fine too, I still love wholesome and cute.

I get bored of straight fluffy/cute romances if there’s no drama at all. It doesn’t necessarily need to be romance drama but I do love jealousy, love triangles, etc but drama from other things such as bullying or something is also interesting. I just don’t want straight fluff/wholesomeness.

Preferably something that isn’t fantasy or historical please. I’m not a fan of those ones. I’d also prefer if the characters were adults but it’s ok if they aren’t. Any drama is ok as long as the characters end up together and happy at the end, that’s the main thing I want.

Super emotional moments are ok too, like if one or both of the characters go through hell or something or things like abuse, bullying, accidents, etc. it doesn’t necessarily need to have drama but I like to feel a lot of emotions other than just straight happiness. TIA.

So I’ve read Mage and the demon queen and I wasn’t a huge fan of it. I didn’t hate it at all but I’m not too much of a fantasy or comedy fan. I also have her tale of Shim cheong on my read list but I’m not a huge fan of historical stuff either.

I’m looking for something that has girls falling in love with each other and something that’s completed so I don’t have to wait for more. Also, I don’t want any bait, like where they have “heavily implied” feelings for each other but they never get together or where one of them dies before confessing or something. I want a 100% confirmed couple, eventually at least.
Please give me some recommendations that are really good.
