I might have to DM in a campaign with friends that have been playing for years and years and I’m a newbie to DnD. Help!
I started playing DnD with a group of friends a few months ago, they have been playing for several years together and have so much backstory, and they all rotate who DMs an arc. They’ve said I could give it a try whenever - I want to participate and give back to the group but I get anxiety with the role play, I know little to nothing about it DnD. I have been using DnD beyond (I know that’s probably the least preferred way to play but it all a faerie can do!). I do have access (I think) to the players manual… and I’d like to learn more about the game itself. And obviously create an arc that is fun for everyone!
I’m wondering what are some easy ways to learn as I go without feeling overwhelmed. What is the best way to research for making a story?
Please be nice 🥹
I’m also new to Reddit 🙃
