Couldn't wait for Friday

Been building on this bike for a few months now and it's almost where it needs to be.

1993? Bianchi Ibex. Frame was free, as were the tires. Wheels were $100 off eBay and the only thing new on it are the grips. The fork I tried on a couple of bikes over the past year or so but this is the one it works for.

650bx47 do they look ridiculous?

Just mocked these up. This frame will fit 700x40ish? But it makes the front rack be more of an issue than necessary.

I've mocked up these 650x47 and it seems like there is also room for fenders still.

From what I understand 650x47 = 700x28, so.bb drop shouldn't be an issue.

Newest reynolds 531 build

1972?73? Sears Free Spirit made by Puch in Austria. This one has Shimano drop outs instead of the campagnolo dropouts or simplex dropouts that other models of a similar vintage are reported to have.

Thought I would be able to do a 650b build, but they won't fit so gonna go 700cx40 (hopefully 40) undecided on the cockpit as it seems a little long. This bike only came in a large size as far as I can tell. I may end up with some upright bars.

Found a campy chorus group for a song that will make its way on here hopefully later today, but rather than using the brifters I'll be using stem mounted friction shifters.

I have some on one midge bars in the mail

Hoping a shorter +rise stem and dirt drops will be the sweet spot. This set up is insanely comfy, but I think the stem (weiner) is too long visually.

Trek 650b conversion

And we have a 650b conversion. It's ridable, but not finished completely.

1982? Trek 613

Nitto noodle bars (the widest)

Nitto technomic (the tallest)

TRP levers

Mks Always pedals

Tektro 559 brakes

Panaracer 38mm tires

eBay shimano dynamo front wheel

Suntour superbe laced to a velocity dyad (originally ordered a cr18 off eBay but it was 650a and didn't notice until it was built)

Took it out for a rough shakedown run yesterday and it's a beautiful riding bike. Any discomfort I felt is solely due to me being fat.

Suntour Blue Line everything else

These aren't great shots, but gonna stop here and clear coat soon. It's almost ready to be a real bike again. Before pics at the end of the slides
