a zombie outbreak where the infection doesn't make you stupid or mindless, you stay completely yourself, same memories, same personality, same ability to speak and reason. the only difference is that once infected, you develop an uncontrollable hunger for human flesh
you can recognize your mother, you can love your spouse and you can understand exactly what you're doing
you just can't stop yourself from wanting to eat them
now imagine scientists discover that the infection is curable but only if the infected person survives for 30 days without killing anyone, the problem is that the hunger becomes progressively stronger every day
so the question:
If you were infected, would you trust yourself to survive those 30 days or would you rather be killed while you're still completely yourself?
