How high pressure exactly are SWE roles ?
I see a lot here and on other subs about anduril being a high pressure environment and people working 60 hour weeks / having no life etc... it dosent exactly seem appealing it also sounds unrealistic as places like that tend not to keep talent unless they are paying extremely high. ( I know they pay high, but not any more than any other faang role)
But I already work in a high pressure tech role in a big tech company, its mostly 9-5 but not uncommon to spend extra time working a bit on weekends or late nights with overseas teams, i'm mostly used to it because my whole career has been this way.
So I guess my question is when you hear about people saying anduril is high pressure is that because they are coming from a prime where things are a bit more cushy vs expectations in regular big tech.. or is it genuinely a high pressure place ?
