Have found a bunch of these holes popping up in my yard over the past couple of weeks. I have found probably 20 or so of them. I don't see any mounding or anything around the holes.

Just bought this shrub today. Three of them. They are incredibly rebound. And my best just teasing the roots apart and then trying to get them to go out, or should I just take a knife and cut them all back a bunch?
