The Batman Returns suit is my favorite Burton/Schumacher-era suit, but it probably didn't make the list because it's too similar to the '89, LEGO Batman Movie, and "Batman Prime" suits. I think that's also why we don't see Val Kilmer's "panther suit" from the majority of Batman Forever: not only is the same suit (minus the yellow oval) included as the Batman and Robin suit, but it would also be yet another all-black-yellow-oval-logo Batsuit. At least we got the Sonar suit.
While Jean-Paul Valley's Knightquest suit would be really cool to see in-game (especially if they included the red variant from Knightsend), it wouldn't be as simple as applying a new skin. Not only would new modeling work be required for the shoulders and wings, but also new animations for those wings, and collision and clipping could also prove an issue for the Batmobiles in this suit.
The Kingdom Come suit faces a lot of the same issues as the Knightquest suit, as well as the interesting issue that the suit is narratively and visually built around a neck brace inhibiting Bruce's head and neck movements. While not an outright deal-breaker per se, the single-piece cowl could prove to be visually odd without being re-worked.
Wrote this because I was bummed-yet-understanding about the lack of Batman Returns suit, realized AzBat didn't make the cut either, and included Kingdom Come because I've been on an Alex Ross kick lately and needed a third suit for Rule of Three.
Where do you think he'll show up in the story?
Thinking of getting it as a tattoo, but want to avoid it if it's taken on a less-tasteful connotation.
So, was it just a merchandise cash grab for Roddenberry? Does it go against Vulcan philosophy as a whole? Is it a physical embodiment of the "paradox of tolerance" used to justify intolerance? Your thoughts?
