I have been an acoustic player for over a decade (casually going on and off playing for long periods so never got very good). I moved continents leaving my guitar behind and was searching to get a guitar here, got a like-new fender squire + frontman 10g for dirt cheap. My 1st electric.

I am struggling to make it sound not terrible. New equipment + adjust my playing for electric + frontman10g sounding terrible.I also live in a shared house with thin walls so cannot crank the amp up to get the proper sounds.

I did some research and I feel I have 2 options. Boss katana 100 or boss go/fender micro plus. Then a open back headphone.

What would be sensible considering I am still learning to adjust for electric guitar and have no idea about electronics and amps etc? Open to other ideas as well.

I am based in Ireland. Budget wise the katana 100 is the max I can go, would be nicer to go lower. Saw the katana 100 for future loop pedal option.

Few days back my Ajazz AK820 pro wireless keyboard had stopped working, was working only via USB and if I logged in to Cachy via TTY on boot. For some reason the wireless mode would stop if I would log into the desktop, and would remain the same even if I logged out. Only rebooting would make it work until I type the password to log into the desktop. This happened after an update and Btrfs restore also did not help.

Next day it suddenly started working again somehow, but my volume knob does not work. Same as before, it works via USB. Then I checked if linux is reading my KB properly through evtest. I can see VOLUMEUP and VOLUMEDOWN commands show up when I turn the knobs. but for some reason it does not register and actually change the volume.

Super confused by this, please help!!!!!!!
