Help me get rid of The Help!

I set the DVR to record The Help about 3 years ago. It won’t stop recording it no matter what! I can stop it from recording if I happen to catch it on “scheduled “ but all efforts to cancel future recordings do not work! It’s fine when The Help isn’t trending and I only have to erase a couple times a year but it’s back on the repeat lately. I don’t check scheduled recordings daily (who does?). I’ve done everything! I can’t make it stop! Same with “Swindler Seduction”. Why only these certain movies??? So embarrassing! 😂

Sourkraut goes dry!

I’ve been pretty successful at making kraut. When it tastes good, I move it to the fridge, all the brine seems to disappear. Like it’s all gone! It still tastes good but I like it a little more juicy KWIM? Anyone else experienced this?

Skimming the scum

In the first week or so, as I’m watching for problems and pressing down the weight, I’m in the habit of skimming off the foam on top of the brine. Is there an advantage to leaving it alone? My product turns out fine but I wonder if it’s better or faster leaving it alone. For example, my carrots in progress…..

No-colored pickles?!

These pickles were started on Monday. Any idea why the very bottom are neon blue/green?

Hello! I’m new to brine fermenting and really excited about it! I’ve been making sauerkraut for quite a while and it’s good/great but I’m wondering about making it with brine instead of squished in salt? Also, anyone have advice or opinions about doing mushrooms? (Not THAT kind of mushrooms!). Here is a picture of my first attempt. These are about 18 hours old. Using fermentation weights. Fingers crossed 😀
