I got tired of guessing PDF sizes, so I built a free PDF ruler that runs entirely in the browser

I kept running into the same problem: someone sends a PDF and I need to know if it's really A4, whether the marginsare 15 mm, or how far apart two things are. Acrobat's measure tool is clunky and most online tools want an upload.

So I built PdfRuler. You open a PDF and get real rulers in mm, cm, inches, points or px. A few things I ended up liking:

- Hover for exact X/Y, click two points for length, across, down and angle

- One key (A) reads the page's drawing instructions and sizes every box. It uses vector data, not pixels, so a 61 x 91 mm card reads 61 x 91 mm

- Snaps to edges, Shift locks level or plumb, guides pull out of the rulers

- Same readings at 50% or 500% zoom, because everything is calculated in PDF points

- Save a copy with your measurements drawn on it

Everything runs client-side. No upload, no account, nothing stored. The landing page has a live demo you can poke at without a PDF.

I'd like to hear what's missing.
