Safety in city drives Vermont primary

just weird, isn't it? that as out-of-state money pours into Vermont, to try to tar anyone even slightly progressive - that there's yet another absolute mess of an article in the Boston Globe - on the front page no less. (BTW: What the heck happened to Heintz?)

it's choc-full of all the sad old rabid anti-progressive talking points - and utterly bereft of accuracy or even journalism.

it's interesting that they're trying so hard; they must be scared - they should be.

get out and vote, folks.

Philly suburb: Sure, build that data center—but first meet our 43 demands

This is the way forward for Vermont (etc) - and not just for data centers): Rather than easily-challenged bans, clear zoning requirements, for _any development_ to be a net gain for the community - rather than the current abusive combination of:

a) profit for a few

b) by "externalized costs" (for everyone BUT those profiting).

Vermont’s economy is in good shape, state economists say, but AI boom is a threat

Bullshit. This take requires privilege and a truckload of willful ignorance; this economy is horrific, and downright abusive. We're all getting pushed closer and closer to the financial cliff; some of us just don't realize it.
