35 days update - water getting clearer

I posted here about 3 weeks ago seeking advice from a green water algae tank and I was given a lot of advices.

I want to give everyone an update on my progress.

I added three batches of ghost shrimp since 2.5 weeks ago, suffered some shrimp death at first two batches but all of my third batches are doing well.

I have three pink ramshorn and a few hitchhikers from pearl weed, now I may have close to 100 baby snails all hatched, I believe the water perhaps is quite healthy despite the color.

I added four white cloud mountain minnow two days ago and added a center piece driftwood.

A lots of people advised me on lighting, it’s gets about 3 to 3.5 hours of morning direct light at best and then I give it 4 hours of artificial light during the evening hours.

For the filters, I have been changing filter medium completely when it gets dirty this probably helped to clean the tank up. I read advice against it but I believe I understand the mechanism about it now.

Beginner - Clearing Algae

I am new to this hobby, I made a 10 gallon tank with the following: 1. Pearl weed, 2. Val, 3. Duckweed, 4. Pothos plant in hanger, 5. Ramshorn snails, 6. Anubias, 7. Seasoned water from my outdoor lotus pot with water flea.

It is now one week old, I put a filter in due to the algae issue. All snails and water flea are doing well, how long will it take for water to eventually clear out?

For my filter it is a HOB and I use polyester batting and been changing it once a day. Any advise from experienced hobbyist is apppreciated.

Container Tiny Pond

I was gifted a tub of lotus plant and some Hardy water lily in mid April. I turned these into three tiny water feature. In each pond, I added ramshorn snail and a few feeder minnow fish, and some floating duckweed. One of the pot is doing very well with crystal clear water for over 5 weeks now. Excited to see how it will develop in the summer.
