How did Dali handle being a... (spoilers)

Alpha of the Pack? I did not read her novel, so perhaps it's in there, but first we meet Dali, she is a vegetarian and blood makes her sick. Even as a tiger, she does not eat meat nor bite people. She's fairly lethal with her curses, but that's about it, it feels?

Like I know the shape shifters were especially rough with Kate because they didn't trust her as she's not one of them, but still, seeing all that she went through and had to handle, makes Dali not cut out for the job in my eyes.

Or was this a situation more akin to Jennifer's? When her partner has become an Alpha and she got the job because of that?

Am I the only one who wishes Julie's magic evolved differently?

Like I get it. When you are raised by Kate, sooner than later you are being taught how to fight. I get. But Blood Heir aside, which imo >!just made Julie into a mini Kate no matter she uses different weapon!<, I wished she was taught how to fight using her sensate abilities. Like, perhaps the magic flowing in people helps her find their weak spots (and she then uses a rapier for instance! Since she only needs to stab precisely not slash). Or that she's much more focused on being an enchanter and curse-breaker rather than being a melee combatant.

What do y'all think? Would that work? And how would you have liked for Julie to evolve?

What magic can the fairy do besides charming humans?

In the first book, Jude mentions that the fairies have magic lessons, but what exactly are they taught? Because besides charming humans, they don't seem to be using much magic in the series, save for ragwort horses. Anything else seems to be limited to individuals and is possibly not that common: Dain was able to create powerful enchantments, Marwe and Grimsen make magic items, the plant/earth based magic seems to be unique to the king/queen of Elfhame.

So, did I miss something? Or, do you have any theories what other magic do the people of Faerie wield?
