Utena 30th Anniversary?
Does anyone think there will be another media release of Revolutionary Girl Utena for its 30th Anniversary in 2027?
I’m a part of the collective that discovered this show thanks to the movie screenings that happened this past summer and I’ve quciklyyyy grown to be a huge fan. I can’t believe it never crossed my path years prior!!
In this time I’ve acquired as much of the physical media I’ve been able to get my hands on such as the VHS collection & the dvd collection from Japan (my dumb ahh didn’t connect the dots until it delivered that there would be no English subs lol) …. But anyway I’ve been wondering if I should stay hungry and keep hunting for copies of the whole series that is sub/sub included, or if there is a possibility a re release could be in the future so I should just wait.
I’ve been wondering because there was the 20th anniversary release I sometimes have found on eBay, and because of the new found fans bringing it back (or this is just my algorithm playing tricks on me)
I hope this isn’t too dumb of a question - I would love to know what others may think!
