I went to SFGAm yesterday with the intention of getting this credit. I learned they moved locations just this past June and the new space is much smaller. Facebook page says they sold it. Before I contact them, anyone know where it might be going?

I made it! 37 years since my last ride at [Crystal Beach]. The one to start my love for coasters: [The Comet] at [SFGE]

I loved Crystal Beach, I have so many good memories there. The entire park was a fever dream. Stuck in a different era that gave it such a creepy feeling. The Comet definitely fit in, especially being next to the water where you felt like you could be thrown into, at any point. Especially at night! As a kid, I didn’t even know the history of the Cyclone. I just loved the coaster. I marathoned that coaster like crazy, I even remember riding it backwards. It sucked when it all closed. (On a different but related note; I’m glad I also rode Giant Coaster at CB, seeing as Leap the Dips is SBNO 😕)

It’s only been the last couple years that I’ve picked up coasters again, due to my youngest turning into an enthusiast. We had no plans to do a NE trip but once SF announced that they were selling the park, I figured it was time to get over there.

I was so happy that she was still riding well. A little pothole after the 2nd drop and they trimmed her like crazy, but otherwise a great ride. I wish they would dress her up a little more, the old sign was beautiful. I don’t know much about Enchanted Parks, what do you think? You think this will help or hinder? Regardless, I’m glad I got over and got some more rides. I even timed it out so she could be my 150th credit (I don’t even know if that counts as 150 that way?!).

Lastly, I never take for granted that I can still ride. Gotta try to stay young somehow.

Edit: I have been schooled that those are in fact, NOT trims. Anti-rollbacks. I just don’t remember slowing down so much but it’s been a long time. It’s still a good ride!
