I started at Burns & Mac last year. While it was a great opportunity, due to family concerns, I need to relocate away from the office I accepted my offer from, to a city we don’t have an office in. When I accepted, I was given a signing bonus and was told that it was contingent on me staying 12 months.

I can’t seem to find that stipulation on my offer letter, and I just want to understand what the process for that would look like. The firm I’m having to move to is willing to help pay it back, I just want to understand what is going to happen.

While I enjoyed my time here, it does suck that I need to leave, hopefully I can find my way back to the firm in the future
