Went through the "which MCP do you actually use" threads on r/ClaudeAI and r/mcp, plus YouTube, X and a bunch of random articles that kept popping up, trying to separate what people actually run from what's just noise in the directory (20k+ servers on glama.ai, most abandoned). GitHub, Context7 and Postgres are the permanent fixtures for anything dev-related. Linear and Sentry showed up constantly too, people plugging error traces and issue tracking straight into the agent instead of tab-switching.
