I made a really hard decision to focus on my mental health and get the surgery now versus when it’d be convenient in a couple months. I know this is the cure but I’m still really scared to get the cleft lift in a couple weeks. I know people feel instantly better after. I just hate sitting in the hospital for 2 hours, waiting for them to wheel me into the operating room. Can anyone tell me what they did during their recovery, or just anything that can make me feel better about this decision? Please don’t share any negative stories, I’m not sure I can handle that right now😭

I’m extremely new to TN. I have the lined, blank, sticker release, and dot grid inserts, using them for different things. But I need more ideas on how to incorporate my TN into my everyday life. What do you use your different inserts for?

I (21F) was recently told I have to get a cleft lift as my wound isn’t healing how it should following an i&d. idk what to do with myself until then. I’m exhausted from packing. When I’m not packing, it’s all I think about. I knew this was coming but I’m still very sad. Does anyone have advice? Anything to make my situation seem less awful than it feels?

Hi, I’m somewhat new to bullet journaling (this will be my 3rd year making one for the whole year). I do some monthly trackers, then the other half of the journal is for fun spreads. Each page is titled something like dream log, blurb of the day, made my day, small wins, ridiculous google searches, etc. and I write something down and date it almost every day.

Probably gonna start setting up my 2027 journal next month and wanna come up with some new ideas. Does anyone do something similar, and if so, what kind of pages/spreads? Really anything that seems unique or fun to do, I’d love to hear about it for inspo!

I have been baking sourdough since the beginning of this year. I ended up finding mold in my old starter so I tossed her. I had some dried yet established starter from a friend, so I decided to activate it. I soaked it in water for 5 hours before mixing in flour. 2tbsp each. (Spring water and Gold Medal Unbleached APF)

The next day I fed more without discarding, and she doubled quickly. I skipped the night feeding so I could start morning feeds. Yesterday I discarded and fed her 1:1:1, 1=50g, and she rose less than an inch. There were wide bubbles on top. Also she smelled like unappealing cheese-itz but smelled fruity the first 2 days. This morning (24hrs later), she was still at where she rose yesterday so I decided to discard half and do what I did yesterday, 1:1:1, 1=50g. Same thing is happening again.

I leave my starter in the microwave so she can stay warm. I made popcorn in my microwave the last 2 nights and only learned last night that the glass plate gets hot to the touch after, which is where I place my starter (which is in a plastic tupperware). I can’t imagine that much heat could’ve weakened the starter but I’m not sure.

Does anyone know why it’s doing this and what I can do, if anything? I know it’s only been a few days but I wanna make sure I’m not doing something wrong.

I’m (21F) 2 months post-PC incision and drainage surgery, and it’s mentally exhausting. I have over 5 pits and had 2 cysts on top of one another (it’s directly above my midline, about an inch long incision). I was put under anesthesia for the i&d (by choice), and after I got the surgery, my doctor said that I would know how to pack the wound. Hospital sent me home with some gauze, tape, and no instructions.

I’d been packing the open wound for about 1.5 months and was making serious progress in my recovery, physically and mentally. Even the doctor’s PA told me all was looking good. Come to recently, I learned I have a tunnel under my skin that I should’ve been packing as well as the open wound… so that was a major hit.

I feel incredibly alone, like no one around me really gets the emotional toll? When I look online for anything to make me feel hopeful that this i&d could’ve worked, I see horror stories and get sucked in. Tbh I’m convinced I’ll just need the cleft lift anyway and that this work to recover isn’t worth it. Does anyone have good experiences? Or any words of encouragement to make me feel like I won’t be dealing with this forever?
