10 years ago, the landscaper said this columnar Norway Spruce would only get 6 to 8’ wide and this was a good spot for it - what are my options now?
I know what you’re thinking - why would you plant a tree this close to your house? Well if I knew now what I knew then I wouldn’t have, but here we are.
I would love to be able to keep this tree. It’s so beautiful. But am I in a spot where I need to just take the loss here and cut it down?
Or is there something that I can do to slim it up? I assume since it’s a spruce, I should not be cutting into the old growth? At the same time I don’t think I want to go to the painstaking approach of going by and cutting the new growth one by one every late spring. Thanks.
