How can I rebalance the energies of a natural area after a violent crime?

Hello, fellow workers of the Quarry! I am a longtime Quareia Apprentice, having been content to float comfortably in Module 1 for many years while I pursue a different spiritual path. But I have a somewhat heavy request for the practitioners of this subreddit, as instinctually I feel the system of Quareia would be best suited to my needs.

Content warning for sexual assault, infant/child death.

A couple days ago, a woman got violently sexually assaulted on a much-beloved woodland path just down the street from me. It is a path I've walk alone, as a woman, almost daily for several years. Since having initially scoped out the area a couple days ago upon seeing police tape—when I did physically go onto the path—I've avoided returning, as divination warns me strongly against doing so. I don't know if this is because the culprit is still at large (police have detained a suspect), or because of nasty, lingering energies. I suspect the latter.

There is an additional heaviness to this assault in that it appears to have taken place directly near what seems to me a sacred tree. I call it the Grieving Tree, as it's a tree that's long since been adorned with toys and ornaments and notes from those whose infants/young children have died.

My usual methods of cleansing and blessing do not entirely seem to apply here. It feels like the woodland itself is unbalanced and angry, and as a result of this crime the city might implement a surveillance apparatus that could greatly harm the natural environment of the path.

I can see a world in which helping is beyond my capabilities, but is there anything I can do to even somewhat rebalance this wood that I love so dearly? To cleanse it, or heal it, or something else that presently escapes me? Or should I just stay well away, until the energies resettle?

I would greatly appreciate the wisdom and guidance of this community. Thank you all!
