A little fun with Concord & 9th

I bought this cover plate/embossing folder combo from C&9’s last big sale, so I played over the past week. The full page inlay of “feathers” is a little labor intensive, but I had so many pieces left over, I decided to play a bit with the embossing folder, and then one card with just “feathers”. I don’t have any plans for these at this point.

For my mom

This was a quick-ish card, just because the background was made ahead. I was telling my mom this past weekend about the cards I made with the butterflies, but I’m not sure she understood what I was talking about. I received a couple more packs from Spellbinders yesterday, so I whipped this up to show her the butterflies and also just to say I’m thinking of her. 😀

A Nautical Birthday

This will be for my aunt’s husband. He is a big fisherman and was raised in Florida so I thought the nautical, beachy theme would be fun.

I feel like I’m in a roll

I’ve mentioned several times that I’m struggling with my mojo, but I seem to have had a burst of creativity lately, so hopefully it sticks around! Today I came across this SSS embossing folder I haven’t used yet, decided to ink blend a panel to emphasize the “spotlight” of the pattern (a little blotchy but I’m hoping non-card makers won’t notice like I do!). A Poppy Stamps Nordic butterfly I made a while back, some water and metallic spatter, a premade Pinkfresh foiled sentiment, and done!

Another couple of cards

I made the stamped panel on Sunday. Made it into cards for my dad and FIL this evening. Lots of older supplies used.

Little bit of fun yesterday and today

The goal of yesterday was a Father’s Day card for my hubs. And then I saw the butterfly stickers I got during a Spellbinders clearance sale months ago. Throw in a few sprayed and stenciled panels that have been here a really long time and a couple of die cuts, and I have a bunch of birthday cards, too!

Fastest card I’ve done in a LONG time

Received my nephew’s graduation announcement in the mail today and for once in a very long time, I immediately had ideas. I used the announcement for color inspiration, and one of Kristina Werner’s layered stencils for the background. A few Altenew Bold Numbers die cut from foil cardstock, a Taylored Expressions grad cap cut from navy and white, and done! A whole month early! 😁

I keep wanting to use my Waffle Flower collage stuff, but I also feel overwhelmed with the choices, lol. And every time I’m tempted to buy more in the collection, I silently berate myself for not using what I already have. But today, I used them! So that means I can buy more now, right?! 😂 Anyway, I hope my friend likes it.
