Fender just won a massive legal loophole in Germany, ruling that the classic Stratocaster shape is a protected "work of art." Now, they are aggressively issuing Fender Cease Desist letters to clear out the competition. They aren’t just demanding a stop to production—they want inventory "recalled and destroyed" across the EU market!

While many letters are being sent behind closed doors, independent builders are starting to sound the alarm, and everyone is holding its breath to see how the biggest brands in the industry survive this.

Here are the popular brands currently targeted, confirmed to have received letters, or directly at risk of being wiped from the S-style market next:

Are we looking at the literal extinction of Strat clones? Is Fender completely out of line here, or do they have every right to protect their body shape?

Hello, title is self explanatory.

I've been using some of the plugins for a year and a bit and while they sound good and they're practical and yada-yada there's something that's off. Listening to the demos - the deep dives that John Connearn usually does - sounds brilliant, but then I use same settings on my side, same gain staging, different guitars - sounds really good, but definitely not what I hear on the demos. Plus I'm kinda bored scrolling in front of the PC - am I playing guitar or a video game innit?

So - the question is addressed to the people that own Nano Cortex and have tried at least one of the plugins:
How does the sound compare between them?
What kind of latency should I expect - I already have 3.8ms latency on the standalones - it's fine, I guess using hardware should be even better.

Win 11 / Mac
Audient iD14 MKII
Edifier MR4 Monitors (pretty decent for the price tag, had a high end ones that didn't do the job either)
Nolly/Petrucci/Rabea/SLO/Nameless
