Prototype of my laser cut customizable case
Please forgive any jankiness and bad cable management. This is only the prototype. There are many changes already performed on the digital model that are not represented here. Wood panels will eventually be on each face.
This is my first time designing a computer case and wanted to share my progress. Plan is for a Bazzite/Steam machine that would look nice in a family room. So I turned to laser cut veneered plywood panels and designed around that idea. It was heavily inspired by the Terra. Layout is mostly the same. Its depth and width are almost the same but it is taller to accommodate two 120mm exhaust fans.
At the moment it is designed for printers that are capable of 350mm like the Bambu H2D. The wood panels are from extremely common 300mmx300mx3mm veneer plywood. My hope is that people can make their own panels to customize to their tastes.
