Started following esports more seriously last year and didn't really notice at first how often betting companies show up around teams and tournaments. Was looking into some match info and came across 1xbet esports, and it kind of hit me - these sponsors are literally everywhere now. Jerseys, stream overlays, tournament branding, all of it. I get that esports needs money to grow. But it does change the vibe a little when betting brand names are just constantly in the background.
Curious what others think - is this just part of esports becoming a bigger industry, or should tournament organizers be more careful about which sponsors they take on?
