I'm planning on purchasing a medium heavy rod that I can use for pike and bass in Ontario. I know the leader for pike has to be either heavy fluoro or steel but I'm trying to figure out which main line to use that's a sweet spot for both pike and bass.

I'll be throwing jerkbait, crankbait, spinner or spoon with it.

I just tried out a new kayak and I got all of the visible water with a car drying cloth. I wondering if that's enough because most people seemed to air dry it in addition with a cloth.
