Cheaper nicer apartment on the Pulse Dempster line or more expensive on the Blue line for commuting to O’Hare?

Hello, I’m an airline pilot based at O’Hare moving to Chicago. I had 2 apartments shortlisted. One is in Irving Park/Portage Park with a 10-15 minute walk to the blue line which would take me right into the airport and another one is in Des Plaines which although nowhere near the blue line is across the road from the Pulse Dempster Line which takes you right into the O Hare airport rental car center which has a train link to the terminal. I was weighing my options since this second option is alot more affordable but I don’t know much about the pulse Dempster line and I was wondering if paying for the extra convenience of the blue line is worth it along with being closer to the city? I was also wondering what you guys think of those neighborhoods. Thanks!

Airline pilots, tips for sleeping?

As someone very new to this, going from being a CFI to starting at my first regional and soon dealing with minimum rests, one thing that’s worrying me is sleep.
Do you guys have any tips for simply falling asleep easier instead of just laying there in bed? Right now I make my own schedule, so I don’t stress as much if I don’t sleep perfectly, but I’m worried about adjusting to constantly changing schedules and overnights once I’m at the airlines. What worked for you guys/ works right now. Any advice appreciated!

FTSP help!

Hi, I updated my address and legal status on TSA FTSP (I’m a green card holder and previously held a visa so I uploaded my green card) and submitted an update now my application status on the website went from approval granted to submitted. Does this mean I’m not approved anymore? I have airline training starting very soon and I’m super worried. Any help would be great :)
