Learning curve and issues get solved one by one, but these ones are persistent...

So thanks for everyone that helped solving the issues I've been facing trying to tame this new CC SE AWD I recently got. It's now behaving pretty much like I want it to except (these might be FAQs, sorry):

  • Android Auto always (well, 99% of the time) kicks in and I have to disconnect it from the car via my phone. Yes, I don't mind it connecting to my phone automatically, but I wish it would only get launched IN MENU MODE (not in "GPS") when I ask it to. Have others found a way to make AA behave and not be too proactive?

  • No matter what GPS programme I tried, all audio gets routed through the vehicle's speakers and you barely hear anything, especially Waze. You know there's a whisper of directions, but #include <StrongExplitiveWordHere>, I can't understand what it's saying. I configured the "force audio through the phone's speakers" options on the phone, but to no avail. Anyone found the secret magical incantation to be able to hear audio prompts from the GPS software on one's phone?

Also, silly question: when connected for Android Auto, is the GPS app (Waze, Google Maps, etc.) using the phone's GPS antennas or the car's?

BTW, my phone is a Pixel 9A running the current version of Android.

Other than that, still happy with my new purchase.

Cheers,

So took possession of my new car last week. Still on the learning curve. Getting things configured to my preferences, one by one.

Still can't figure out why, when I leave and lock the car (car? crossover? compact SUV?), it beeps at me like my older Corolla did if one door was badly shut or if one window was somewhat opened. Yet, all doors & windows are properly closed.

Is there a secret handshake, a dance step I must perform each time I get out of the vehicle that I keep forgetting to do? I don't understand what it's trying to tell me and it's getting irritating.
