I know the entire xmen movie thingy takes place in an alternate timeline that was made by the days of future past movie but in the last scene if that movie, we see that Jean grey is alive and human, And in the doomsday trailer we see mystique alive also. So is the movie as a whole canon or something else?

Im making a comic with these types of characters and i am trying to find more of this genre of characters, i was thinking about adding a samurai, alien, or robot but they all fall in the same categories of what i already chose, i also chose a knight or vampire but then again im just not sure.
