Dual US/UK citizen. I have exactly 5 weeks until my trip to the UK and just realized my passport is expired. Is that enough turnaround time for renewal? I’m based in New York.

Or should I fly with the expired passport and US valid passport? I could also get an emergency travel doc.

I’m traveling with my 2 kids (not UK citizens) and flying Virgin Atlantic
