Split Enz throw fans back in time at a triumphant Melbourne return, on their first tour together in 20 years.

The little islands of Aotearoa/New Zealand punch well above their weight when it comes to producing groundbreaking artists with popularity not just on this side of the Tasman, but globally. Split Enz is regarded as the first band to do so, soaring beyond the Land of the Long White Cloud, arguably with their 1980 hit “I Got You”.

The band’s line is was icons Tim Finn and Neil Finn, Noel Crombie and Eddie Rayner, all supported by young guns Matt Eccles and James Milne, the show was not without bright visual effects and onstage banter between members, inter mingled with songs sounding just the same as they were released, some nearly 50 years ago.

Musicians encouraged and welcomed!

I'm a reporter and writer looking to broaden my music feature/news writing and connect with more artists, bands, promoters and music people …. As it is the topic I am most passionate about.
(I already write in a range of topics, all but sport and finance!)

Any artists with interesting stories behind new
releases, gigs/tours, community music stories, interesting artist profiles, underground/local scenes or have unique projects are encouraged to send info via this editorial form: here - if the link doesn’t work, you can copy it and paste into Chrome.
(like that of Zendesk or other news sites)

l often use Substack and Medium, as well as a blog I update periodically, planning to start a fresh one for music/entertainment news.
Just keen to keep building experience and fatten up my portfolio!
Thank you!!! :)
