What is this tree? Smooth gray bark, alternate pattern, large hand-sized, cordate leaves. In the wild, southern Ontario, zone 5.

What is this tree with the small pink flowers?

Can anyone I.d what variety of maple this is?

It leafs out a nice copper colour, then turns a nice shade of light green.

The seeds drop in late spring.

Bark is somewhat smooth and gray but looks rustic on the older sections.

I'm in southern Ontario, but I doubt that matters because it's a landscape tree that was planted on my property before I owned it.
