Paint advice - 1910 house in Portland, ME

Hi! I'm struggling with painting color choices. The house was built in 1910 and the trees outside give nice shade but I'm worried about making it feel dark. The previous owners painted all sorts of colors, we're looking to unify the house with 3 or 4 colors throughout. I'm sharing the dining room, it has most of the elements that I'm struggling with.... primarily the dark molding). I keep being drawn to blues and greens (Azure Tide & Juniper from SW) but I don't know how to use those colors without the whole thing feeling heavy. We're looking for color for the walls, ceiling and molding. We have a young son so we're worried that high touch areas (doorways, window sills) will get dirty pretty quickly if they're too light, but again with the 'scared of making it feel too dark'. Would it look crazy to have most molding one color (light) but door frames and window sills another? Here are photos of the Dining Room plus a terrible photoshop job I did. All suggestions welcome!
