Car shuts off while driving
My 2005 V50 2.4 sometimes shuts off while driving.
One year ago I got towed into a repair shop because my alternator died and the battery failed. They replaced both parts.
One or two months later the car sometimes shut off for a split second while driving and the instruments on the dashboard went out in this split second. In most cases a message appeared saying „anti skid service required“. Because the car was still in gear I think it always turned on by itself after this split second. One time while slowing down for an intersection the car was not in gear and it shut off completely. I also remember driving one night and I noticed that all the lights turned off while this happened.
My main repair shop then said there is no error saved in the system as if the car would be turned off while this was happening. They replaced the ignition switch, the steering motor (they said this could be the problem but I don’t think so) and now also some relays.
I cleaned the entire CEM but it was in a good condition before. I also swapped the battery with an V70 but the issue is still there.
In the last weeks the issue has gotten worse, the car doesn’t turn on by itself when stalling, I have to wait 15 minutes. In this time key position 1 and 2 are working fine and the display and the climate control is working but when I turn the key to start the car nothing happens, there is no crank at all. After 15 minutes it starts fine
