📢 June Portfolio Update 📢- Back After a Long Break

📢 June Portfolio Update 📢- Back After a Long Break

After a long break from posting, life got busy, but I’m finally back with portfolio updates.

A lot changed since the last update.

The portfolio structure is very different now.
Most of the single-stock income ETFs were sold.
The Ultras sleeve is now much smaller.
And the remaining single-stock ETF exposure is only a tiny part of the portfolio.

June was not a great performance month, but it was an important cleanup month.

📊 Progress and Portfolio Update

Total portfolio value: $300,610
Total profit: +$31,071
Total return: +8.6%
Projected annual passive income: $61,576 after tax
Projected monthly income: $5,131

📥 Total Dividends Received in June

💵 June dividends: $5,273

That is more than $175 per day.

The income engine is still working.

But June was a reminder:

NAV matters.
Total return matters.
Risk still matters.

🔥 Snowball / ROC Update

One cool thing I found this month:

I can add ROC-related tax refunds into Snowball Analytics.

Some distributions later get reclassified as Return of Capital, or ROC.

Since my broker withholds tax automatically, part of that tax can come back later after the ROC reclassification.

I added those refunds into Snowball, and now the portfolio return reflects the real result much better:

Dividends
Price movement
Taxes
ROC-related tax refunds
Real total return

For an income portfolio, this is a big deal.

Not tax advice, just how I track my own portfolio.

💼 Portfolio Structure

My portfolio remains structured across four sleeves:

Dividend Boosters 49.2% | Alternative Income 25.0% | Core Portfolio 23.3% | The Ultras 2.5%

https://preview.redd.it/98edxcr3nvah1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=b8c395e35c56304d83dc2dcafe68f21a274cb972

The structure looks healthier than before.
The Ultras are smaller.
Alternative Income is meaningful.
Core is stronger.
Dividend Boosters still drive the income.

🛒 Additions in June

💥 Dividend Boosters

✅ DRMP
Memory semiconductor income exposure.
AI memory, HBM, DRAM, NAND, and advanced packaging.
Small starter position.

🧱 Core Portfolio

✅ TDVI
More balanced technology income exposure.
Tech income, but not ultra-high-yield.

🏢 Alternative Income

✅ RISR
Interest rate hedge and alternative income exposure.

✅ FOXY
Currency strategy ETF.
Another diversifier outside equity option income.

✅ KGLD
Added more gold income exposure.
Still one of my favorite diversifiers in this sleeve.

🔁 Sold / Rotated Out

❌ PLTI
Sold because the fund was closing.

❌ HOOW
Sold with around 28% profit.

The HOOW sale changed how I think about The Ultras.

Going forward, The Ultras are more tactical:

Better entries.
Smaller sizing.
Take profits when it makes sense.
Less attachment to the distribution.

The Ultras are now a tactical tool, not the foundation of the portfolio.

🚀 The Ultras, loan funded portfolio

Now much smaller and more controlled.

Current weight: 2.5%

💰 Current value: $7,407.73
📈 Total profit: +28.2%
💵 June dividends: $504.52

Breakdown by ticker:

TSLW 32.72%
COIW 26.54%
MSTW 20.63%
PLTW 20.12%

https://preview.redd.it/orilce2yovah1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=9e6db4cb4118dc4b1354bc37a3f1d87c524e825a

Dividend Breakdown:

MSTW $119.18 | COIW $118.18 | HOOW $108.91 |
TSLW $81.16 | PLTW $69.32 | PLTI $7.76

https://preview.redd.it/pfrfow4uovah1.png?width=1919&format=png&auto=webp&s=f6d2a14882d70c9d199e38fec0a44ef2bee5293e

The June dividends still include HOOW and PLTI, which were sold during the month.

These funds can still create income and tactical opportunities, but I do not want them controlling the portfolio again.

💥 Dividend Boosters

Still the main cash flow engine.

Great income, but still a sleeve where I need to watch NAV, concentration, and total return.

🧱 Core Portfolio

Built for balance and durability.

This is still the strongest sleeve from a total return perspective.

🏢 Alternative Income

📉 Performance Comparison June 1 → June 30:

Portfolio Performance: -6.48%

S&P 500: -1.3% | Nasdaq 100: -0.25% | SCHD: -1.86%

June was weak from a total return perspective.

Income stayed strong, but the portfolio underperformed the major benchmarks.

The main focus this month was cleanup, reducing single-stock ETF exposure, and making the portfolio more intentional.

https://preview.redd.it/w2v5a14nrvah1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=747b7609f0d27f3662500618108ab91f640aaccb

💡 Performance Summary

June was mainly about cleanup and control.

I reduced The Ultras.
I sold PLTI because it was closing.
I took profit on HOOW.
I added DRMP, TDVI, RISR, and FOXY.
And I improved my tracking in Snowball with ROC-related tax refunds.

Strong income.
Weak performance.
Better structure.
More control.

📌 Closing Thoughts

A lot changed since my last update.

The portfolio is now much less dependent on single-stock income ETFs.

The Ultras are no longer a major part of the portfolio.

And I’m trying to make every sleeve more intentional.

The strategy keeps evolving, but the principle stays the same:

Cash flow first.
Compounding second.
Price volatility last.

🔄 I track everything using Snowball Analytics, including dividends, performance, allocation, and now also ROC-related tax refunds.

💡 Reminder: All numbers above are after tax, my broker withholds taxes automatically.

Not financial advice, just sharing my own portfolio journey.
