Florida woman charged with felony animal abuse after 36 Border Collies are discovered in deplorable conditions.

A Florida woman is facing 72 charges after authorities say they discovered 36 border collies living in deplorable conditions inside a Palm City home.

Paige O’Donnell, 62, faces 36 felony counts of animal cruelty and 36 misdemeanor counts related to allegations that she failed to provide the dogs with proper exercise or air.

Authorities said the home appeared well-maintained from the outside, with neatly groomed grounds and fencing. But when deputies executed a search warrant and entered the residence, they found a drastically different scene.

Investigators said feces, urine-soaked materials, boxes and debris filled the home. Conditions were so severe that deputies and Animal Services officers were required to wear Tyvek protective suits while searching the property and removing the animals.

The dogs were found matted and covered in feces and urine, according to the sheriff's office. Authorities said O’Donnell repeatedly claimed there were no more than five dogs inside the house. Investigators ultimately found 36.

All of the dogs were removed and taken to the Treasure Coast Humane Society, where they are being evaluated, groomed and treated. Officials said the animals will require food, medical care and continued attention as they recover.

O'Donnell made her first court appearance following an animal hoarding investigation by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Services.

A judge set her total bond at $275,000 and ordered that, as a condition of her release, she may not temporarily or permanently own or possess any animals.

Springtails before Isopods?

Hi everyone.

After doing a fair amount of research over the past couple weeks, I'm feeling comfortable with starting my first proper isopod colony.

I just have one question that I haven't seen any clear answers to- is it best to add the springtails to the prepared enclosure some time before the isopods, or after the isopods are moved in? Does it matter at all?

Thanks in advance for any help with this question!

He loves climbing (and chewing) on this twig.

I currently have only one Armadillidium vulgare, which I found in my backyard. I've had him for a little over a month now, and he's successfully molted once since I captured him. I'm not sure if that's a normal frequency of molting or not.

So far, keeping him has brought me a lot of happiness. I'm looking forward to building a larger terrarium with another species to start a collection and give him some friends.

Hey everyone.

I officially promoted myself to customer as of a few days ago, and I was wondering if my final paycheck will be deposited to my account on the date of the next normal payday, or if not, when? Do I need to go back to the store and see the PL to get a paper check?

Sorry if this is a commonly posted question, and thanks for any info.
