I ruptured back in April. I am mostly back to normal everyday activities and taking it easy with most physical activity so I was starting think I was good to go. But last week my physical therapist was like "not so fast, do a single leg calf raise". It did not happen. I now have a new appreciation for the posts showing off single leg calf raises, hopefully by the end of the year I can make one of those posts.

4 weeks in and Doc said I could start walking this after noon. My wife's car was over due for some brake pads, so when I got home from the Doc I hobbled around the drive way and garage dragging tools and questioned my life decisions. Took me longer to get the tools out and set up than the actual work. I felt the 4 weeks of laying around when I finally dragged the floor jack back to where it belonged, but it felt good to be useful again.

How does anybody make it through recover flying solo? I am lucky enough to have a wife that is helping me out. She threatens me with death more than usual but she at least makes sure that I eat and drives me to appointments. If you are doing this alone I am truly impressed and want to give you props.
