How to get a studio apt near Syracuse Uni?
Hi everyone,
I’m an incoming grad student starting at Syracuse University this August, and honestly I’m kind of lost with the apartment search right now. This is my first time moving to Syracuse, so I don’t really know the area or where people actually find decent apartments.
I’ve mainly been using sites like Apartments.com and Zillow looking for a studio apartment, but almost every place either: says there’s a waitlist, or already got leased out immediately.
At this point I genuinely don’t know where people are actually finding housing lol.
I’d prefer a studio or maybe a small 1bd near campus (or somewhere safe with an easy commute). I’m okay paying a bit more for a decent place (still under $1,500 hopefully), but I’m trying to avoid rundown student housing if possible.
Are there better websites, Facebook groups, local property companies, or apartment complexes I should be checking instead? Any neighborhoods grad students usually live in?
Would really appreciate any advice because this whole process has been way harder than I expected 😭
