The local job market is horrific
Genuinely I cannot imagine how bad it must be right now for anyone without a job looking to find any work in this area paying beyond the minimum. Especially in my industry as a Chef.
Whilst I'm lucky enough to be in full-time employment myself at marginally above minimum wage, I've hit a point of burnout in my role, with no desire to take it further especially with few & far between opportunities to advance further.
I can't help but feel trapped by the local job market and its lack of opportunities or training to enter into a more skilled role. Whilst I know this is not a Stoke on Trent specific issue, it definitely feels like one becoming a bigger & bigger reality in this city by the year.
