401K Help(30): TDF vs Mixed

I’m new to my 401k and I feel like the TDF I have selected isn’t aggressive enough.

401k: 6% match @ 35% (better than nothing)

It’s already at 10% bonds. I’m 30, hoping to retire by 65.

Pictures show expense ratios for every fund, and I’m at a total loss on what to choose or do. My Roth is FZROX/FZILX @ 70/30% weight.

Thank you for any advice. 🍻

Do you ever pull out? (30M)

Jokes aside, I started my Roth IRA journey this year (2025/2026 max).

Does anyone ever feel the need to sell some gains to potentially wait to buy in later?

Ex: markets are ATH, you sell 15% of you’re GAINS to reinvest in a potential lower buy-in (Iran war continuing and 60% of global countries will experience an oil squeeze within next 45-75 days).

I understand timing the market is always a bad idea, I’m just wondering does anyone cash in on unrealized gains (pull out) to buy back when lower (pull in)?

Time in Market >>> ((I lost $))

A lot of people are new to investing, me included!
30 yrs old & started my Roth IRA this year and maxed out 2025/2026.

On April 6th I posted if I should invest in FSELX — got info that basically said, yeah time in market beats trying to time.

Regardless, I waited until April 22nd to invest ~$2500.
Guess what? I’m up 13%!

Buuuuut…. If I had done April 6 like I intended, I would be up around ~37%.

I left over $500 on the table in unrealized gains, because I thought I could time the market with Iran war.

Learn from me! Just invest!

FZROX / FZILX / FSELX: ~ 60% / 25% / 15%
Ends up being: 71% / 29% USA + international
((Debating lowering FZILX to add more into FZROX))

Maxed out 2025 + 2026 contribution limits:

$14,500 invested at ~78/22% USA + International split

Bought FSELX a few days ago when I maxed 2026.

Any tips? Cheers! 🍻
