Don‘t get me wrong. I like the simple yet effective way a serger can finish raw seams.
It’s nice, put together, beautiful even.
But notice that I didn’t mention it’s quick because it never is.
These lil fuckers are ALWAYS giving me trouble. It doesn’t matter the kind of machine: professional or domestic. This god forsaken cursed machine is always giving me headaches, specially the bottom looper. I don’t understand HOW it manages to get loose on the upper hole without breaking the thread or even getting loose anywhere else.
Yes, I’ve threaded it correctly all 19 times I’ve tried to make it work unsuccessfully.
Yes, my thread is new and high quality.
Yes, everything is aligned and the maintenance is updated.
It’s a patience game and I’m losing it.
Also: fuck you left needle, you’re always giving me trouble too.
I’m resorting to french seams and taking longer than usual just because I don’t want to deal with the temper tantrums my serger gives me everytime.
