I’ve been in the market for a 2nd gen highlander for quite some time, I’ve posted a few times on this sub. I almost NEVER see hybrids listed near me, and the base models are going for $15k-$17k CAD. The 200,000km is a bit higher than I’d like, but I got the Carfax and it seems to have been well maintained. Am I crazy for considering a car at 200k for $18,000 CAD ($13k USD)? I’d likely try to negotiate down a bit with a full cash payment, but I absolutely love this interior and it’s only $1-2k more than most of the base models and non-hybrids I see in my area. Please let me know if you think I should avoid it, if I’m crazy for investing that much into a car with that mileage, or if I should go for it! I know it could easily have another 200k left in it with the right maintenance, but would love more opinions. Thanks!

I have been looking for a 2nd gen highlander for a few weeks, this is the lowest cost for this mileage range in my area. Most are well above 200k and I’m looking for something under 150k ideally. The rest I’ve seen have a lot of damage, but this one seems okay. Is this a good price? What should I look out for when I go see it? All advice appreciated. Thanks!

I’m in the market for a Highlander after my current Hyundai Santa Fe crapped out on me. I saw a listing on FB for a 2012 4WD V6 with only 128k kilometres for $17,500 CAD. Is this a fair price? Only one owner and it’s black with leather seats. This is also the lowest mileage Highlander in my area. I am new to the Highlander community so any advice is welcome. Thanks!
