Hi,

I am working on this 1890’s house.

Where we removed the closet, there is a large gap between the old walls where the closet wall was. Each side is a slightly different depth.

How do I fill this gap?

Should i get some wire lathe and fill it with plaster? Add shims and sheetrock? Go over everything with another layer?

Any tips are much appreciated.
