SUPER JUNIOR's Shindong confirmed to reunite with Jung Jong-yeon PD and to join cast of The Devil's Plan Season 3
Shindong of Super Junior is joining the The Devil's Plan Season 3, signaling a special reunion with producer-director Jung Jong-yeon.
According to a report by Star News on the 12th, Shindong has officially confirmed his appearance on The Devil’s Plan 3. This appearance is especially meaningful for him because it marks his first-ever project on Netflix.
Over the years, Shindong has appeared in numerous variety shows across terrestrial broadcasters, cable channels, YouTube, and various OTT platforms. However, The Devil’s Plan 3 will be his first Netflix content appearance.
The The Devil’s Plan series is well known as a brain-game survival program directed by Jung Jong-yeon.
Jung Jong-yeon is regarded as a master of variety television, having created hit shows such as The Genius, Society Game, The Great Escape, Girls' High School Mystery Class, and Agents of Mystery.
The Devil’s Plan successfully aired Season 1 in September 2023 and Season 2 in May of last year. Season 3 is scheduled for release in the second half of this year, and filming has already been completed.
The connection between Shindong and Jung Jong-yeon began through the tvN variety show The Great Escape. Shindong appeared in every season from Season 1 through Season 4, building a strong relationship of trust with the producer. It was also reported that Shindong actively recommended fellow Super Junior member Kyuhyun to Jung Jong-yeon for casting in The Devil’s Plan 2, highlighting the close bond between the two.
Jung Jong-yeon is said to understand Shindong’s exceptional strategic thinking, puzzle-solving skills, and survival-game instincts better than anyone else. Because of this background, expectations are high for the chemistry between Shindong and Jung Jong-yeon in The Devil’s Plan 3.
