I am a US citizen and will be studying abroad in London this fall and will be getting an ETA type of visa. However, I am planning on going to France a week earlier than when my study abroad program starts. I am also researching how the European Union is planning on changing some of their rules when it comes to visas and curious if that will affect me?

Will I be able to get two visas at the same time? any guidance or insight would be greatly appreciated.
