Profile Review

Hey all ,

I'm a 27 year old female ,from India with 4 years of work experience,2 years at Google and 2 years at B2B SaaS startups, primarily in Product Marketing.

I have been following UCLA from 2024 and wanted to apply since that time but was scared because what if I don't get the admit , the fees are pretty huge for an Indian middle class person like me and the visa and immigration situations.

Here's a quick overview of my profile:

Bachelor's in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

GPA: 7.13/10

High school: 84.4%

Secondary school: 9.0/10

4 years of professional experience (2 years at Google + 2 years in Product Marketing at startups)

Extracurricular: I'm into animal rescue , adoption and fostering, was the publicity head of tech fest in college , and I have mentored more than 40+ students.

Currently preparing for the GRE

My long-term goal is to grow into a senior Product Marketing or Marketing leadership role (Director/VP of Marketing) in the tech industry.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts on a few questions:

  1. Based on my profile, how competitive do you think I'd be for UCLA Anderson if I achieve a strong GRE score?

  2. What areas of my application should I focus on strengthening over the next few months?

  3. For someone who wants to build a long-term career in Product Marketing and marketing leadership, would you recommend UCLA Anderson?

  4. If you graduated from Anderson and pursued a marketing career, how has your experience been in terms of recruiting, career growth, and ROI?

I'd love to hear any honest advice or insights from current students, alumni, or applicants. Thank you so much!

Profile Review: Do I Have a Realistic Chance at ISB PGP? Is ISB the Right Choice for Marketing

Hi everyone,

I'm a 27-year-old female with 4 years of work experience, 2 years at Google and 2 years in B2B SaaS startups, primarily in Product Marketing.

Studying at ISB has been a dream of mine since 2019. I even visited the campus in 2022, and honestly, I still remember getting goosebumps walking around. Ever since then, I've wanted to apply, but I've always held myself back because I wasn't sure if my profile would be competitive enough.

Here's a quick overview of my profile:

10th:9.0 CGPA

12th:84.4%

B.Tech:7.13 CGPA , Dec 2021 passout(not from a Tier 1 college)

Work Experience:4 years (2 years at Google + 2 years at startups

Extracurricular: Im into NGO volunteering including animal rescue , adoption and fostering. I have mentored more than 40+ students in school and college Also I was the publicity head and core member of the college tech fest

I'm currently preparing for the GRE. Before starting my preparation, I took a diagnostic test and scored 290, so I'm working on improving that significantly before applying.

I had a few questions:

  1. Based on my profile, do I have a realistic chance of getting into ISB ?

  2. What aspects of my profile should I focus on strengthening before I apply?

  3. My long-term goal is to build a career in Product Marketing and eventually move into marketing leadership. Is ISB the right school for that, or would you recommend looking at other programs instead?

I'd really appreciate any honest feedback or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Should I reschedule my B1/B2 interview date ?

Hi , indian female , in my mid twenties. I had applied for my us visa in the month of October last year and I had my biometrics in the first week of May. I have my interview in June .

So the problem is , i have been reading all the posts here about the interviews , questions asked and all , and I'm confused on what to do.

I was working at the time when I applied for the visa , but in the month of March , I left the company because of some personal health issues. Im on a break focusing on my health right now and I'm slowly starting to sit for interviews.

Years of experience: 4

Have worked for 2 years at faang.

Visiting reason : visiting my brother in law Interview is at Hyderabad

I have enough proof as in bank passboks and statements to show enough money , but still will the job part be an issue ?

Will this be an issue for the interview ? If yes , how should I handle the questions which might come ?
