Why are so many libertarians anti immigration? How can a closed system be a free market?
I have been trying to understand libertarianism for a little while now and this might be a very basic question. In a free market system, shouldn't everyone be allowed to compete? Why would ownership of land be allowed only to natives? Wouldn't that just create another closed market? I think an example would be how many Westerners with stronger passports are able to travel to the third world and setup businesses in places like Bali or Thailand but no one from those places could dream of visiting the West let alone setting up a business. Ron is allowed to compete anywhere in the world but Raul is not. Would that be the case in your libertarian society? If so how would you justify it from first principles?
FYI posted this to the r/Libertarian subreddit and immediately got banned for some reason.
