Tips for moss and more garden?

Tips for moss and more garden?

I have to redo a part of the garden after construction work, sp I figured this is the time to make it as I always wanted: Japanese style garden instead of lawn.

The backdrop will be a bamboo wall, in progress. I will split the big cluster when I dont need the passage anymore.

I will remove the "decor-apple" tree to the right when a wall is built there.

I am thinking of having a mix of gravel"water" with islands and large portions of moss. Maybe some real water feature.

What should I do, especially considering moss?

According to what I read/saw on net: Put a weed fabric, gravel, sand and acidic soil on top. How thick?

I am very grateful for tips!

In need of suggestions for birthday party

Hi! I'm turning z0 and I love music and lights! I wish I could just hire someone like you to rig and control the lights for the party, but not likely to happen (anyone located in Oslo, Norway? DM me)
So. I'll acquire some lights.

My request may seem blasphemous, since it is such a small thing compared to what I've seen in this subreddit, but I try. Hoping for some (kind) responses still

I was thinking of

  • 2xJBL 320 speakers + 4xpartylight on auracast
  • 2x Redshow BAL 23 from when I turned x0
  • 2 or 4 moving heads – what are good yet rather cheap options?
  • strobe – do I need one if I have the heads?
  • fog – any downside to having in residence? Like residue, smell or such

Since I can't handle DMX nor am likely to pay lots to have some competent person do it, I'm hoping there are some options with low requirements yet look OK ( I won't say "cool" considering the bar set in this forum). Like, is there a way, even if with additional software and DMX controller, that can be preset and make music move the lights but not in the standard completely random way?

With regards to recommendations:

I live in Norway. The party is scheduled in August (yeah, I need to blackout my house). The room has 4 meters to the ceiling, 4 meters across and 9 meters long
