DUI San Bernardino County, CA
I was arrested for DUI the day after Halloween of 2025 & my first court date is not until June 2026. I have not drank since that day because this DUI. I was fired from my internship and now my bachelor's degree is on hold & I have not even been convicted yet. Anyways, my license got suspended for a hard year because I refused to give blood at the time, but I agreed to a breathalyzer. Either way I guess there is a new law that just passed that makes that an automatic 1 year suspension. I want to know what I am looking at when I have court because my school wont let me come back until I resolve the case. My BAC was high & I crashed into a pole. I am nervous about what I am looking at. I hired a lawyer hoping he can help alleviate the penalties.
Man the stress of the what ifs, and the consequences that have occurred already have definitely led me to change my life which is a good outcome, but I fear the court system will show me no mercy. I know the situation could have been worse and am grateful, but I just want to move on.
