I am moving to Sydney in a few months and have a 2023 Giant TCR Advanced Disc 1 (carbon frame, alu wheels, 105 di2) leased through a work scheme that I can buy out for the equivalent of about 2.7k AUD.

2 questions:

1. What does 3k AUD get you used in Aus these days? Considering whether it is worth buying out the Giant and shipping it (minimal cost for that as I'll have a container) or whether I can just buy an equivalent used bike when I arrive and save the effort.
2. Where do people buy used bikes? I had a look for Giants on gumtree but didn't see a lot of options.

I'm an australian qualified CFO with experience working with VC/PE backed companies, I've been living in Europe for a bit over a decade and am moving back to Sydney later this year.

The "Fractional CFO" path seems to have taken off over the past decade in the UK and Europe, i.e. operating as a consultant to deliver a package of CFO work to a few startups/SMEs at a time, usually paid a retainer for a set of deliverables.

Is this approach normal / something smaller companies are doing in Australia these days?
